SENIOR CENTER NEWS
The Senior Nutrition Program has been "defunded" by Nye County.
We are currently looking for grants and other sources of funding to make
up the deficit. We are also looking to get some funds from the Town
Board. Talk to your Town Board members and show up for the budget
meetings in May to ask that it be included in the budget for next year.
Join your friends for dinner at the senior center! The recommended donation
is $3.00 per meal for seniors 60 years of age and older. We do charge a
fee for guests under 60 years of age. Meals are served from 4 to 5 p.m.
Monday through Thursday, except for breakfasts which are served from 9
to 10 a.m. on Fridays. See the menu in this newsletter.
Activities at the Senior
Bingo on third Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Movie night on last Wednesday at 6 p.m.
Crafts on Wednesdays from 1 to 4 p.m.
Open Pool every Monday and Friday starting at 5:30 p.m. You must
be 18 years or older to play pool.
Any senior (60 years of age and over) is welcome to have a meal at the
center; there is a suggested anonymous donation of $3 per meal but no senior
will be denied a meal or transportation for lack of funds. There
is a $6 per meal fee for non-seniors and a $4 fee for children 12 years
